Did you know…….

623 gallons of water can be harvested from 1 inch of rainwater on a 1,000 sq ft roof!

Rain barrels are becoming the popular new trend in green gardening.  Conserve the water from your rain gutters by having the water filter from the roof into storage barrels.  Just make sure you have a wire mesh screen above the opening of the barrel to block any debris.  Gravity is the cheapest and easiest way to move the water from out of the barrel, hooking up a spicket to the lower half of the tank.  Installing a rain barrel will not only save you costs on watering your landscape pots and plants, you will be amazed by the benefits these natural waters will have on the plants.
