If you mow your own lawn make sure you are keeping those blades sharp on the mower. Here at Aspen we sharpen every night, it has happened that we change out blades half-way through the day to insure a good clean cut. Here is a picture that might help you determine if you need your blade or blades sharpened.
Tis the season for leaves...We plan on starting our leaf removal practices around the first week of November. In the meantime, if you'd like leaf removal services before this time, please feel free to contact us.
The second leaf cleanup, which include turf and beds will be starting on Monday, November 19. A few of the maples as well as the bradford pear trees seem to be hanging on right now, they will be down soon.
Please call if you have any special requests during this holiday season.
Thank you!
With the end of October fast approaching, weekly mowing will end and we will begin our leaf cleanup processes. Typically, we perform two fall cleanups to lawns in the fall. The first cleanup involves removing all the leaf cover from the lawn and hard surfaces. The second cleanup involves removing all the leaves from the property including the landscaped areas. We can also perform weekly or bi-weekly cleanups if you have heavy leaf cover and want them removed more routinely. Call us if you have any questions or are interested in getting on our schedule.
We will begin our weekly mowing services on Thursday 4/3, weather permitting. If you are scheduled for a Thursday or Friday mowing day this season, you will be mowed this week. Those scheduled for Mon-Wed. will begin their weekly services starting Monday 4/7. We look forward to another great season!
We will begin our leaf cleanup operations around the first week of November. We perform two leaf cleanups during the fall season. Additional cleanups including weekly service is available upon request. During the first cleanup, we will remove all the leaves from the turf areas & hard surfaces in and around your property. We will NOT clean the leaves from the landscaped areas during the first cleanup unless you have otherwise arranged that service with us.

A lot of customers are calling in asking why the mowers skipped them this week. We actually recommend skipping the weekly mowing after a fall renovation. The seed is still very fragile and cannot handle the machines running over it. Usually the grass has not germinated by this time anyways, so it is not always needed. If you are doing a complete overhaul of the lawn with a full renovation, you might have to skip mowing even longer.
