Heading outdoors- to Cook? What if it meant more than firing up a simple charcoal grill and cleaning up with the hose? Lately, an outdoor kitchen can be a good investment too. The National Association of Home Builders reports that adding an outdoor kitchen definitely adds value to your property, as much as 130 percent of its cost. That means you can recoup the investment, but make no mistake, it still isn't an inexpensive addition. Prices start around $6,000 for a bare bones setup and can go as high as $100,000 for larger, elaborate versions with add-ons such as fireplaces, dishwashers and flat screen tvs. "It's the one renovation project that couples can agree on," says Scott Cohen, author of The Outdoor Kitchen Design Workbook. Now you can have a great place to cook outside and entertain friends and family.
